Work Hours: 35.0 Hours per Week Weeks per year-Weeks per year: 52.00 The role With a starting salary of £29,605, the Events Coordinator role sits within the Events Team of the Venues & Events Department, which is responsible for generating valuable income for the University through the letting of event space, venues for filming production and summer group accommodation.  Based at Goldney House in Clifton Village, you will be working alongside many of the Campus Division and Academic departments as well as the support services and third-party suppliers we use to facilitate our customer events.  The events we manage range from small meetings to multi-venue conferences as well as awards dinners, weddings, garden parties, group accommodation and filming locations. What will you be doing? Liaising with customers, from enquiry stage through to delivery of their event, summer group accommodation or filming production at our venues, you will also book external venues for internal customers and being the liaison between the University and those external venues is key.  You will be welcoming clients on-campus at an early stage and possibly multiple times for site visits, to showcase our venues and conduct meetings prior to the date of their event. The key element of this role is the coordination for each customer’s event/booking, ensuring that all information, required services, charges and documentation have been prepared with precision, detail and professionalism.   You should apply if This is a varied role, which requires someone with excellent organisational and detailed planning skills as well as experience of working in a commercial events or hospitality environment. The successful candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal and IT skills, and the ability to work under pressure as part of a team, as well as working independently whilst managing events and conducting client site visits. A full valid UK Driving licence is essential for this role also, as the requirement to drive between venues for planned or short-notice venues and use the departmental vehicle is required.
