Salary: £400 - £500 per day (Depending on Experience)
As the Events Director, you will take on a strategic role, overseeing the entire planning and execution process of a Sports Conference. This four-day business conference, hosting approximately 1500 attendees, requires a visionary leader with proven experience in managing large-scale events.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy in alignment with company objectives.
- Lead and mentor the events team, providing guidance and support throughout the planning process.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including sponsors, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue coordination, transportation, catering, and on-site operations.
- Oversee budgeting and financial aspects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and delivering a high return on investment.
- Proven track record of successful leadership in planning and executing large-scale conferences or events.
- Strong strategic and organisational skills with the ability to think creatively and solve complex problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of event management best practices and industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire a team effectively.
- The position requires a significant on-site presence, with approximately 2 to 3 days per week in and around Birmingham during the event preparation and execution phases.
- Being in Birmingham at the time of the 4 day event
