The Events Planner works as an integral part of the Marketing function alongside the digital design and communications team, ensuring all internal and external events and supporting campaigns are well organised and managed, effective, and undertaken to the highest standard. A key aspect of this role is to lead in the continued development and drive towards a streamlined events schedule both within SEA and as part of the wider Cohort Group events plan.

What you’ll be doing
  • Drive the delivery of all external and internal (3 sites) events both in the UK and overseas, ensuring our presence is consistent, on brand and professionally organised.
  • Work alongside the Business Development team and other key stakeholders to deliver a structured and well-considered plan of events which supports the company strategy.
  • Liaise with event’s organisers, both in the UK and overseas, to organise events which are on budget and on brand.
  • Work collaboratively with the digital and design team and key business stakeholders to achieve a high standard of event materials including graphics, supporting collateral and screen content.
  • Manage the agreed events budget, including making recommendations for promotional materials to support events, and cost savings.
  • Research and present opportunities to enhance and promote SEA.
  • Support customer-facing roles / HR to ensure our brand and messages are reflected
  • across dedicated events.
  • Support the Talent Acquisition and Emerging Talent teams in delivering SEA presence at careers fairs, STEM events and other recruitment event activities such as Open Events
  • Research and present opportunities to enhance and promote SEA in the local community.
  • Work collaboratively with other Marketing members of the Cohort group to coordinate and deliver successful group events in the UK and overseas. This will include taking responsibility for logistics and operations tasks, whilst managing the expectations of SEA and Cohort stakeholders.
 
The skills you need
  • Proven experience in an events organisation role or company with the ability to network positively with external and internal stakeholders at all levels and departments across the business
  • Experience in delivering successful corporate events and supporting campaigns
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • People/customer orientated – willingness to adapt style, tone, and materials to suit different audiences
  • Experience in working in an agile team, willing to wear many hats
  • Experience in delivering metrics reports to show ROI on events
