Job Title: Exam InvigilatorHourly Paid

Salary: £12.49 per hour (£11.10 per hour plus £1.39 holiday pay)

Specialist exam invigilating duties will be £13.49 per hour (£11.99 per hour plus £1.50 holiday pay)

Contract: NSG Business Support, Hourly Paid

Pension: NEST Pension Scheme

About the College

  • Middlesbrough College is the largest General Further Education College in the Tees Valley and has been situated in Middlehaven, Middlesbrough, since 2008. It has developed from the initial main site to the vibrant campus that is now in place with our Campus Heart, dedicated Sixth Form, STEM Centre, Higher Education Centre, and further development for our apprentices in progress.

About the role

The Exam Invigilator will primarily support candidates in a calm and approachable manner whilst maintaining exam integrity in line with the procedures set out by JCQ and specific exam awarding bodies.

The successful candidate will have:

  • GCSEs at Level 4/Grade C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent, or be willing to work towards.
  • Good IT skills.
  • The ability when necessary to command authority.
  • Knowledge of education.
  • Calm and efficient manner.
  • Reliable, flexible, and punctual.
