About The Role
GSL Education are currently looking to expand our pool of Exam Invigilators, to support our local schools around the Bournemouth area, with the key exam periods fast approaching. Whether you are seeking full-time or very much flexible work, exam invigilation could be perfect for you!
The post would be ideally suited to applicants who are highly organised, vigilant and reliable, have excellent attention to detail and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
This is a casual contract and working hours will be negotiated for each exam period. The main exam periods are during January, February, May and June, and the work will be either whole or part day sessions, some of which may start at 8.00am and at 3.30pm. This role is extremely suitable around childcare too, as you can just during exams based in the middle of the day for example.
If you are seeking to work in a school longer term as a Teaching Assistant, but are worried about not having any school experience, exam invigilation is the perfect way to kickstart your career in education!
We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:
- Supervise pupils taking public and internal examinations
- Support key students, being willing to aid reading and writing if necessary
- Prepare exam rooms, distributing and collecting exam papers in accordance with the JCQ regulations
