Will be responsible for managing Exams and Graduation and associated actions across the student life cycle. They will ensure the smooth running of assessment, awards and Graduation.
This will include support for the Director and Head of Student Enrolment and Administration to ensure all procedures are fair and transparent.
The workload of the office is demanding, requiring first class judgement, personal organisation and flexibility as well as an ability to work to deadlines. They will work in partnership with other senior colleagues in Student Enrolment and Administration whilst liaising closely with Schools and Departments.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities
Within the Student Administration remit of the Unit to take a lead on:
1. the administrative work relating to examination and award processes.
2. the maintenance of accurate student records, including the production of certificates, transcripts and other similar documentation.
3. all student related matter for the graduation ceremonies.
4. To support the Registrar regarding appeals
5. Produce regular reports and updates on activities for the Head and Director.
To contribute to the integrated operation of the Student Enrolment and Administration
To oversee the work of members of the Student Enrolment and Administration
Work Performed (relating to key tasks)
1. To lead on and oversee the running of formal written examinations, including scheduling the examination timetable.
2. To undertake duties relating to student appeals and mitigating circumstance panels and to liaise with the University Registrar in regards to this.
3. To co-ordinate the verification and production of references, transcripts, certificates and similar post-study documentation.
4. To lead the work of the Student Enrolment and Administration relating to student aspects of the Graduation ceremonies.
5. To work with the School/Departments to provide accurate and timely information regarding the status of individual students.
6. To take responsibility for the work of members of the Student Enrolment and Administration team, including Line Management.
7. To work with the Head and Director to develop and implement a strategic approach to all aspects of Student Enrolment and Administration from initial application to graduation.
8. To undertake any other duties commensurate with this post and as requested by the Head or Director.
