Are you familiar with the secondary school curriculum and able to assist students with their coursework and assignments?

Are you able to adapt to the diverse needs of students and provide individualised support as necessary?

Can you provide one-on-one support to students who may require additional assistance with their studies?

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support the learning and development of students for secondary education. Your primary role is to provide assistance in the classroom, offer support to students, and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

We're currently looking for committed Teaching Assistants in Blackpool to support students in KS3 and KS4. The daily pay rate for this role varies from £85 to £90, based on your experience, qualifications, and teaching level.

Responsibilities:

• Reading, writing and SPAG support.
• Adjusting or breaking down activities to support participation and understanding.
• Develop a supportive relationship with the child that promotes self esteem and confidence.
• To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional and behavioural needs of the child and respond to them effectively.
• To liaise with the Teacher and SENCO about the development and support needed at home and in school for the child.
• To provide the whole class, small groups and 1:1 support.
• Monitor and maintain records of the pupils progress.
• To assist with general school duties which may include setting up classrooms, preparing resources and displays and tidying and clearing away
• Supervision of children during lunch times and Supervision of children entering and leaving school premises.

Requirements:

• Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
• Ability to engage with, and build rapport with the students.
• Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
• Have experience with SEN or knowledge learning difficulties.
• TA qualified.
