Join us as Executive Head Chef here at The University of Salford and be part of Team Salford, and one of the UK’s fastest growing universities. We are looking for a creative executive chef who has a passion for delivering exceptional quality at various price points, and who will help bring more variety and global cuisine to our campus and customers. Our Executive Head Chef will be a member of the senior management team of Food and Drink, and will be responsible for leading the operational management of all university kitchens provisions and continuous improvement of our offering. Putting the staff, customers, and culture of continuous improvement at the centre of what we do, you’ll contribute to the strategic direction of the service and be accountable for operational planning, profit and loss, and management of the whole catering portfolio. With over 300 directly employed colleagues and supported by numerous external contractors, our Estates & Facilities team delivers a full estates and facilities management service to the University, including capital development, property maintenance, cleaning, security, caretaking and landscaping. The Campus Services department is a strategic and outward looking department overseeing the delivery of commercial services. We continue to operate informal hybrid working arrangements and are open to a mix of remote and campus-based working. There will be a requirement for you to be on campus, but how that mix of remote and onsite works will predominately be down to you to decide – we want you to manage your own time and commitments!
