Job description

Ambitious and driven PA wanted for a leading local mutual society in Cirencester (South Cerney), to work for and look after the Chief Executive.

This business has experienced some impressive growth recently and have a leadership team in place to make sure this continues and have big plans for the future. They currently number 82 people in the business as a whole, so you will know most people there once you have settled in and be able to put a name to the face, and you will be working in a fantastic purpose-built office on the outskirts of Cirencester!

They offer some genuinely great perks here, such as staff away days and social functions, with a benefits package that includes, Private Health Cover, 25 days holiday + bank holidays to start, free eye care, a 10% of salary annual bonus and a 10% non-contributory pension, death in service (x4 of base salary). And the benefits do not stop there, as they also offer a staff Employee Assistance program, and discounted membership investment opportunities as well as a further two days leave year fully paid to go and work for a charity of your choice. They also offer hybrid working and onsite parking is also provided.

Due to the very low turnover of staff, this is a rarely available career opportunity for someone career minded who wants to work for a business who offer first class training and development for all its staff as well as a stable and enjoyable working environment.

They are seeking a self-starter who has the ability to work without supervision or direction, in supporting the Chief Executive here. Someone who has worked for Board level members previously would be desirable, though happy to consider those with other PA based experience. You will also need first class minute taking and multi-tasking skills and be able to not just interact at internal board level, but also with visiting board members from clients and partner organisations. You will also need to be highly proficient using Microsoft office (Excel/Word/Outlook)

You will provide support for Board & Committee meetings and the AGM, including the issue of proper notices of meetings, chasing and circulation of relevant papers and taking and producing minutes to record the business transacted at the meetings and the decisions taken. You will also

support Board members to help them carry out their business, with a focus on NEDs, including help with the recruitment and induction of new NEDs, assistance with the appraisal process and expenses as well as supporting the Company Secretary in relation to the Board and its meetings and assisting the CEO with administrative tasks as required.

This is a truly fabulous opportunity to join a great local employer in Gloucestershire, who offer a warm and friendly working environment, working with a great team!

Office hours are 8:45am to 5pm with an hour for lunch, and the salary on offer is circa £26-32k, depending on experience.
