The Role (6-month Fixed Term Contract)

As an Executive Producer or a Senior Producer looking for the next step up, your role will be two-fold.

To scope, manage, coordinate and deliver all production projects within a defined client portfolio, as well as work closely alongside the Director of Moving Image to further refine and integrate production thinking into and across Emperor.

You will build a close working relationship with (and report to) the Director of Moving Image, acting as a conduit between the client, moving image team and wider agency teams.

You will eventually line manage a team of in-house producers and their own more junior direct reports.

Key & Additional Responsibilities

  • Day to day oversight of production operations, process, workflow & wider integration of Moving Image team protocols across Emperor
  • Develop long lasting and trusted relationships with clients and client-facing account teams internally
  • Ensure that craft and quality is at an optimum level and all times across the production desk
  • Lead producers in their client relationships to meet immediate needs and plan for future requirements
  • Act as the lead producer on particular shoots – be that creative, production or directorial as may be relevant/required
  • Ensure that processes and workflows, including triage, asset management and reporting are consistent with SLA’s and best practices
  • Produce costings and timings for projects
  • Organise and attend shoots, engage with directors, book crews and source locations
  • Ensure that projects are produced to a high creative standard, delivered on time and within the agreed budget
  • Liaising with the Director of Moving Image to capture and service all motion and post-production needs
  • Maintain constant communication with Creative, Moving Image and Account Management
  • Play an active role in problem solving and innovating to find solutions
  • Check that all work is reconciled correctly and comes in within the agreed budget
  • Continually define ways to increase the efficiency of how we produce content, including SLA’s and wider best practice
  • Alongside the Director of Moving Image, act as point of escalation for issues emerging from the Moving Image team
  • Revenue reporting working with Finance and Creative Services Manager including WIP and billings
  • Feeding into 2024-2025 growth plan including resourcing, pricing and service evolution

  • Improve production profitability across your client portfolio by 10%
  • Improve revenue from your client portfolio by 25%
  • Create a roster of (video & animation) directors and DOPs that produce high quality work and are bought in to the agency’s ethos
  • Work with the Finance and Operations functions to make sure any live production tracking and invoice logs are up to date at all times
