Experienced Composite Product Design Engineer - Aerospace Structures - CATIA. Filton, UK.

Our Aerospace client based in Filton, UK, require the support of an Experienced Composite Product Design Engineer. The selected person will be engaged on a contract basis through Strongfield Consultants working in our clients facilities in Filton. Inside IR35 contract basis PAYE.
There are design requirements to support Technology design programs, concentrating on Composite formed spars, spar tool design, Automated Fibre Placement  design and Resin Transfer Moulding  products.
Key skills expected:

• Composite Product Design (CPD)
• Engineering to high aerospace design standards and requirements.
• Generate DFM datasets
• Generate compensated tooling surfaces 
• Support to tooling suppliers 
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing teams as required 
• Provide post manufacture product engineering assessment

 

• We require an Experienced Catia CPD engineer to support our client's  technology programs with engineering definition of composite demonstrators up to, and including, TRL 6.
• Design engineering in accordance with our client's standard engineering rules and requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in engineering design for conventional and out-of-autoclave manufacturing methods.
• Self-motivated and must be reactive and versatile to meet technology team lead requirements.

This is a good contract opportunity for a Design Engineer to work on several technology product demonstrator programs for up to 1 years initial activity.
