About Luckes Brasserie & the Job.
Luckes Brasserie is a local Independent in North St Chichester. We offer a delicious breakfast and lunch menu, and 2-3 evenings a week a lovely fresh fish from the boat menu. We use high quality ingredients and are all about creating really delicious Mediterranean style fresh food, sometimes with an Asian twist, using local, seasonal and organic produce as much as possible.

We have a strong following of regular customers, both local and from further afield, of all age groups, having built up an excellent reputation over the last 7 years.
You will work alongside the owner Melanie Luckes who is the Head Chef and her sous chef and her two evening chefs. She runs a very happy team where everyone has each others backs and works together as a team. Melanie loves to collaborate with her staff, learn from them as well as teach them new skills and is a very supportive boss. In return she expects punctuality, professionalism and a positive ‘can do’ attitud. The kitchen can get very busy and the job will be hard work, more so over the Summer months due to tourists, but for the right person it will be very satisfying.
You will have excellent knife skills and be experienced in a wide range of cooking and baking techniques, able to produce food quickly and finish it attractively on the plate under pressure. You will have a good knowledge of EHO regulations and stick to them.
You will work 5 days a week, 7.45am-4.30pm in the Winter months and 5.30pm in the summer months. You will have Sundays and Tuesdays off. You will be expected to help cover holidays so my be required to change your days off or work evenings from time to time.
We use quality ingredients and aim to produce high quality food for our customers. We are looking for someone who is excited by this and has a passion for eating great food and working with a seasonal menu.

Everyone at LUCKES is treated with respect and kindness and expected to work with total professionalism. This makes it a lovely environment to work in and means the team works really well together when busy.
