A global manufacturing company based in Greater Manchester is seeking an Export Shipping Administrator to join their established team on a permanent basis.
The company is going through a period of expansion and modernisation with a bright future ahead. Their product is exported to customers in over 100 countries and there are daily exports for transport via land, sea and air.
Working within a Shipping team of 4 the main responsibilities of the position will be to support the Shipping Manager with key tasks including:
- To obtain shipping quotes and liaising suppliers for all modes of transport (land, sea and air)
- Assisting with customer queries relating to exports
- Receipt, organise and file all relevant paperwork for high value and hazardous cargo movements
- Assist in the production of shipping documentation relating to export orders
- Maintain daily communication with internal stakeholders in Export Sales, Production Planning and the Warehouse
The position is full time - Monday to Friday, 35 hour week with the option of 2 days working from home once full training is completed. Flexible start and finish times are also on offer.

In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have some experience in Export/shipping and ideally some exposure to Inco Terms, Payment Terms or Letters of Credit. In addition to this candidates need good knowledge of MS Windows applications (Word, Excel) along with some exposure to a SAP/ERP system.
