We have a vacancy for an Extended School Leader for our Breakfast and Afterschool Club (called the ‘Laughalots’ club). The position is for 5 days a week, term time only, to supervise and facilitate children’s wraparound care at our Breakfast and Afterschool Clubs, although the role does not require on-site supervision for Breakfast Club. The hours are 3.00 – 6.00pm.
The Extended School Leader will lead the team of Playworkers to care for children who are participating in the school’s in-house wraparound care. The person will also be responsible for the provision of safe, high quality play and for contributing to and implementing school policies relating to wraparound care. This is a highly rewarding job. Our pupils are polite, friendly and eager to learn and play.

The successful candidate will:
- display warmth, care and sensitivity in dealing with children;
- have strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills;
- be able to communicate effectively with adults and children;
- be creative, open-minded and adaptable;
- have experience of leading a team and be prepared to muck in with the team;
- have a good sense of humour;
- have a level 3 qualification in child care or early years education.
