About the role
Our client is actively recruiting for a capable and enthusiastic External Audit Manager with extensive experience working with clients from the not-for-profit industry. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage your own team of Auditors as well as a diverse portfolio of not-for-profit clients. You will act as the first point of contact for your clients, develop strong professional relationships, and provide accurate and forward-thinking recommendations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the audit process from start to finish, including planning, execution, and finalisation of all stages of the audit.
- Manage foreseeable risk for clients and provide accurate recommendations on how to manage this.
- Coach junior team members through regular training, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback.
- Provide on-the-job training.
- Monitor the progress of the audit and compare it to the budget and allotted time frame. If there is a discrepancy, provide updates to Directors/Partners.
- 3+ years of UK based audit experience at Assistant Manager/Manager level
- ACA, ACCA, CA qualified
- Experience with managing a portfolio of not for profit clients is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
