We have a fantastic new opportunity for an External Communications and Marketing Officer to join our Marketing team for a 6 months fixed term contract with the opportunity for an extension.

This role is a part-time job share opportunity working Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 15 hours per week.

You’ll need to be willing to travel to our head office in Sidcup and to visit services across all our operating areas.

In this role you will work with the Head of Communications and Marketing and wider teams to deliver the organisation’s External Communications and Marketing strategy.

  • Marketing the organisation, its jobs/careers, products, services and performance.
  • Building Avenues’ brand among new and existing stakeholders.
  • Act as our ‘brand champion’, working with colleagues to ensure our brand position is maximised across our External Communications and Marketing.
  • Updating and developing the Avenues website.
  • Data analysis, including monitoring and evaluation of the performance of our website and social platforms, and collating performance data.
  • Designing and producing basic leaflets and brochures.
  • Updating social media platforms with stories from within the organisation, working collaboratively with the internal communications officer.
  • Monitoring and reporting on sector news and trends.
