Job description

Experis is pleased to collaborate with a highly sought-after public agency whose projects all focus on the environment. Currently, they are seeking an External Communications Manager. You will play a crucial role in supporting their communications team by utilising your expertise in PowerPoint, drafting briefings, and making policy digestible for non-technical audiences.
Contract Details:
Duration: 6-month initial contract
Rate: Up to £425 - £475 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Any of their offices across their country - 3 days per week (From March)
Start Date: ASAP (Less than 1 month notice)
About The Role:
Provide External Communications and engagement expertise for project delivery across border transformation projectsCreate engaging content, assets and communications channels to continue to reach border stakeholders, whilst striving to improve their use of new technologies, ideas and innovation across sectors to develop our communications effortsTo create and manage relationships with high influence and interest stakeholders and border actorsTo continuously evaluate the success and areas for improvements across border communications and engagementsTo create strategic communications and engagement plans that provide a useful forward look and horizon scan of upcoming comms and engagement requirements and issuesTo be a good team player and role model across the team, supporting other leads where needed and upskilling other members of staff across the programme.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, or a related field.Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with a history of creating impactful presentations.Strong writing and editing skills, with familiarity in composing briefings for senior communication managers.Understanding of policy concepts and the capacity to convey complex policy language in clear communication.Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and adeptness in managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team-oriented environment.Competence in utilising communication tools and platforms.Profound problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.Adaptability to shifting priorities and a fast-paced environment.
