We are seeking a passionate teacher who is committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for our youngest learners. The successful candidate will lead a Reception class, working as part of a supportive team in our three-form entry school.

As an educator at Shirley Infant School, you will have the opportunity to inspire and guide our pupils through their early years of education, helping them develop their curiosity, creativity, and confidence. We value innovation and encourage our staff to bring fresh ideas into the classroom, ensuring engaging and dynamic lessons. With our comprehensive professional development opportunities, you can continuously grow as an educator, expanding your skills and knowledge.

Shirley Infant School is a vibrant, happy setting where children come first. Our ethos of ‘Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day’ is what makes us special and underpins our child-centred approach to learning. We have close links with our junior school and share a site and office team across the two schools.

The school is part of Hamwic Education Trust (HET), a large, fast-paced Trust with currently 35 academies across the South Coast. Linked to 6 community-based partnerships, there are 32 primary academies, 2 secondary and 1 hospital school.

‘All about the Child’

At HET, we aim to put the child at the centre of everything we do.  We believe that by doing this, it drives our ethos and values to do the best we can for our children.

‘What about Sam’
