Moxie People is currently working with a leading charity based in South Wales that's dedicated to supporting and empowering young people. They are currently on the lookout for Facilities and Team Coordinator to help manage the repair, compliance and health and safety requirements for two of their residential projects, while also managing a small team of maintenance professionals.
Role Brief / Day to Day:
Overseeing maintenance operations across 2 residential projects, managing repairs, and ensuring the upkeep of facilities.
Line management responsibilities for a team of Maintenance Officers, including conducting 121s, supervisions, and performance management.
Conducting H&S inspections, particularly annual fire risk inspections, and implementing necessary actions from inspection reports.
Responsible for budget management, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Providing support and advice to the service manager on Health & Safety matters.
Managing relationships with contractors, including maximizing productivity and addressing challenges.
Introducing cost-saving initiatives and utilizing initiative to improve operational efficiency.
Active participation in the management team, acting as the H&S and Maintenance representative.
Delivering workshops to young people on basic Health & Safety and maintenance training.
Must-Haves:
Previous experience in a similar environment such as schools, education, health, or social care.
Demonstrated experience in Health & Safety management, including risk assessments and compliance.
Basic computer skills including proficiency in emails, report writing, and participation in Teams meetings.
Proactive attitude, with a strong ability to identify solutions and think creatively.
Open-mindedness and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by young people.
