Facilities Assistant

We have a thrilling opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join our client based in Tamworth. The role involves a range of tasks, from fleet and waste administration to liaising with utility suppliers and contractors.

• £23,000 to £25,000 per annum.

• Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30 or 09:00 to 17:00
• A clean UK driving license is required.

The Role:

As a Facilities Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Handling fleet administration tasks such as scanning and filing vehicle-related documents, tracking fines and ensuring payment, coordinating car deliveries to garages, and liaising with insurers in case of accidents.
• Overseeing utility-related tasks like data input from utility bills, bill accuracy checks, and supplier communication.
• Coordinating with contractors to ensure their insurance certificates and licenses are current.
• Managing waste administration, including scanning and filing Waste Transfer Notes, maintaining up-to-date certificates from waste suppliers, and dealing with failed collections.
• Communicating effectively with the Maintenance Department and undertaking reasonable additional tasks related to the department.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for the Facilities Assistant role should have:

• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong communication skills, with confidence in liaising with colleagues and suppliers
• Basic understanding of ISO14001 standards
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
• Effective administrative skills
• Flexibility to adapt to work requirements
• Experience in fleet operations
• Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Outlook etc.
