Pay Rate £25K + PA (Negotiable DOE)
Major Recruitment's Technical Division are currently recruiting for their multifunctional client in Wakefield.
They are seeking skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to carry out general repairs and maintenance across the site to keep things in good condition.
Duties ranging from simple building maintenance to plumbing, painting and general joinery work.
Responsibilities:
Site Maintenance
Perform maintenance and light repairs
Perform routine landscaping/installation and maintenance of the grounds
Building works
Fix doors and change the locks where required
Laying flooring
Troubleshoot general problems
Repair and replace general hardware
Painting and decorating - Remove stains and paint building when necessary. Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, walk areas etc.)
Basic repair of equipment or appliances
Identify and report the need for major repairs
Changing light bulbs and ensuring other fixtures and fittings are in good working order
Changing fuses
Minor plumbing and joinery work
Footpath maintenance including snow shovelling and gritting when required
Clearing gutters
Changing filters on air conditioning systems if required
Maintaining property exterior through the different seasons
General Works
Moving furniture or equipment
Assembling furniture or equipment
Assisting Engineers
Assisting Production Managers
Cleaning
Overall responsibility for site cleaning general areas
Day to day management of cleaners for factory & office
Responsible for ensuring recycle bins are put out for collection on relevant days
Management of any cleaning equipment on site
Management of cleaning supply stocks
Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
Good communication ability
Well-organised and good problem-solving
Attention to detail
Ability to prioritise workload where required
Experience with hard tools and power tools
Broad range of craftsmanship and practical skills
Good knowledge of electrical works.
Good knowledge of carpentry/joinery
Minimum GCSE English/ Mathematics (C)
Full UK Driving License
Additional Details:
Hours of Work - Monday - Friday: 8.00am-4.30pm 40 hours per week
