We are seeking technically-minded individuals in our clients Sterile Services facility to work Monday - Friday, 08.30 - 16.30.
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will provide technical expertise and knowledge regarding sterile services to the facility and the customer base, ensuring first-class delivery to clinical service users and patients whilst exceeding contractual performance standards.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician
- Install, maintain, service and repair the full range of Engineering/ Building Services and equipment.
- Responsible for calibration and fault finding on a wide range of engineering plants and equipment including:
- voltage systems,
- steam raising plant and associated equipment,
- steam sterilizers,
- instrument washers,
- lighting,
- fire detection,
- standby generator
- building services controls,
- heating and ventilation control systems
- Undertake condition surveys, evaluating inspection reports and maintenance repairs, across the estate as directed by management, ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures.
- Plan and organise major planned works, service interruptions and other maintenance activities.
- Coordinate work of others, providing practical training work evaluation.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good written and verbal communication
- Relevant Engineering Qualification or equivalent
- Experience working on breakdowns and PPM on technical and medical equipment.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required
- Good computer skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
Experience within a sterile environment would be advantageous, however there is a full training package for all aspects of the role.
Salary 30,000 to 35,000
