Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Facilities Technician for our client based in Braintree on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be supporting in the delivering of day-to-day maintenance activity, facilities projects and facilities escalation requests.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- General maintenance tasks and project work.
- Responsible for planned and reactive maintenance.
- Plumbing work on water heaters, washroom sanitary equipment, catering services and drainage. All plumbing install and maintenance work will be carried out to the relevant British standards.
- General building fabric maintenance in the offices and factory areas including painting, decorating, boarding, carpentry, replacement of fixtures and fittings. All building works will be carried out to relevant British standards.
- Carrying out requests by the facilities manager and supervisor.
- Ensuring that all faults are prioritised and resolved in a timely fashion.
- Following safe working practices, this includes the development of task specific risk assessment.
- Liaising/escorting third party contractors.
- Identifying and reporting damages and major repairs across the site.
- Ensuring that all maintenance facilities and equipment are used in accordance with current health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards.
- Working independently when safe to do so and be able to work in a team on larger jobs.
- Promoting the company in a positive way to colleagues and external contractors.
- Clearing unblockages to toilets and drainage in a safe way and always with the correct P.P.E and barriers used.
Education, skills, and experience:
- Good understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
- Competent at working from complex system drawings and schematics.
- Experienced in fault finding and trouble shooting.
- Have a good understanding of general minor plumbing works
- Facilities maintenance/general building or construction knowledge & skill set
Working hours are Monday - Friday.
In return our client offers a salary of up to £29,000 per annum, as well as free on-site parking, on-site café and company events.
