AddressStayCity are looking for a dedicated and proactive candidate to join their busy maintenance team. This is a great opportunity to gain some experience in a hotel, whilst gaining a qualification to improve your personal and professional development.
Brief overview of the role
We are currently recruiting driven individuals to join our Maintenance Team at Wilde Covent Garden. You
will be responsible for delivering daily, weekly and monthly safety checks as well as ensuring everything is
in working order in the apartments and public areas, to ensure that our guests have an amazing stay. This
is achieved by supporting planned maintenance checks and a hands-on approach to reactive
maintenance.
Working week
Between Monday-Sunday
30 hours per week total
Wage
£6.00 per hour
(national minimum wage rising to £6.40 April 24)

Duties and Responsibilities
- To carry out emergency repairs affecting properties and guest bedrooms and services with an immediate effect
- To perform small building repair work as necessary
- To perform duties as part of a team, and also to work alone as required
- Assisting your colleagues with any reasonable request
- To fault find any basic general electrical problems in and around properties and the hotel
- To check all maintenance stock on a regular basis and reporting to your manager when stock is low
- To ensure all security procedures laid down by the hotel are strictly adhered to. This is to include the use of a work register for outside contractors.
- To follow the company’s Health and safety policy and to be H & S aware to yourself and your work mates around you.
- To attend all training requested by the chief engineer
- To make sure you look presentable when around guest areas
- To have a thorough knowledge of the operation of all plant, boiler and air conditioning and heating equipment in the hotel and maintain in an efficient working order.
- To undertake mechanical work as required
- To carry out emergency repairs affecting guest bedrooms and services with an immediate effect
- To carry out small painting jobs’
- To be fully aware of the fire procedures and evacuation point
- To have a good communication with manager and other departments
