adi Facilities Engineering Sales Director

About the Role

The expectations for a Sales Director encompass a range of strategic, operational, and leadership responsibilities aimed at driving sales growth and achieving FE business plan revenue targets.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Strategic Planning and Execution

* Sales Strategy Development : Formulate and implement effective sales strategies aligned with FE's business objectives. This involves market intelligence and analysis, identifying targets and helping set sales goals.
* Market Penetration and Expansion : Develop plans to identify and penetrate new markets, whilst expand existing markets. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and / or partnerships.
* Marketing Collateral : Support on the creation of suitable media and marketing materials to inform, educate, and persuade potential customers, enhancing the overall marketing strategy.

2. Revenue and Profitability

* Achieving Sales Targets : Achieve agreed sales targets and report on sales performance against these targets and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure goals are met.
* Revenue Growth : Drive sustainable revenue growth against business plan, through effective sales planning and execution. Focus on both short-term and long-term revenue strategies.

3. Team Leadership and Development

* Team Management : Lead, mentor, and manage the future sales team to ensure high performance. This includes supporting on recruitment, training, development, and performance management.
* Motivation and Engagement : Foster a positive and productive sales environment and develop motivational techniques and incentive programs to keep the sales team engaged and driven.

4. Sales Operations and Efficiency

* Tender and Bid Lead : Ability to analyse and produce high quality technical bids and documentation that provides a client specific solution or addresses the requests of any proposal requests.
* Process Improvement : Optimise FE's sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness for improved results. Implement best practices and use sales techniques, including CRM systems to support sales activities.
* Sales Reporting and Analytics : Perform to sales metrics and KPIs. Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management for analysis to drive performance improvements as required.

5. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination

* adi Group Collaboration : Work closely with other adi Group companies to align strategies and where possible support overall adi Group business goals.
* Stakeholder Engagement : Engage with internal stakeholders to gather insights, address challenges, and leverage opportunities.
* Networking : Target and attending appropriate networking opportunities and events to enable promotion and wider exposure of the adi brand.

6. Market, Customer and Competitor Analysis

* Market Trends : Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Use this information to adapt FE's sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
* Target Customers : Develop key targets based on FE's capabilities with the ability to map and identify decision makers.
* Competitor Analysis : Conduct regular competitor analysis to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning, with the aim to keep FE ahead of the curve and ensure we are competing in the right areas.
