My client is on the market looking for an experienced Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities who will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Estates and Facilities functions to support the delivery and development of services in accordance with the set strategies and corporate objectives. The post holder provides strategic direction and advice on the estate ensuring that the built environment is safe and that it is also future-proofed and managed effectively and efficiently and is adapted to changing needs. The role holder will have corporate and professional responsibility for Estates and Facilities service standards, governance, policies, financial management, statutory and regulatory compliance and risk management. This is a senior role in the organisation that has the overarching day-to-day and long-term strategic responsibility for the safety, security and management of the built environment, therefore building and developing a team to deliver will be a critical success factor of this role.
Essential:
- Extensive Stakeholder engagement/management is a must. Extensive Finance and resources management is essential as you will be responsible for significant revenue and capital budgets. Project management qualification or equivalent level of experience Evidence of CPD and leadership development Significant senior management experience in a large organisation in Estates and Facilities management Can demonstrate experience of managing major change and shaping the future projects and has strategic and budget setting. Has experience of effective partnership working with other organisations at a senior level. Strong commercial and contracts management experience to ensure robust financial, legal and risk management. Can demonstrate evidence of setting and achieving ambitious targets and of implementing innovative solutions designed to improve services within tight financial constraints. Degree in relevant estates or facilities discipline Chartered professional registration/accreditation in relevant discipline (e.g. RIBA, CIOB, RICS, CIBSE, etc.)
