We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team Business Partnering the Haydock Park & Carlisle Racecourse General Managers, producing reliable and accurate management accounts, information and analysis to assist in the management of the business.

The Finance Business Partner will
• Act as a Business Partner and strong influencer to racecourse General Managers and budget holders to ensure budgets are achieved/exceeded, providing insightful analysis on a regular basis.
• Provide insightful analysis on a regular basis to drive action which will either address issues or identify opportunities for both income growth and cost reduction.
• Hold regular budget holder meetings with budget holders to review spend to date and forecast future spend.
• Contribute to the preparation of business cases for investment in racecourse infrastructure improvements as necessary, and act as advisor to the budget holders and managers. Conduct pre and post investment analysis.
• Constantly look for areas where we can improve analysis, processes, and reporting
• Lead performance reviews to ensure understanding of the drivers of business performance and KPIs.
• Develop an area of expertise related to a key area of the business on behalf of the wider Racecourse Finance team.
• Complete the monthly management accounts for 2 racecourses
• Produce detailed reconciliations between accounts and booking systems.
• Prepare racecourse annual budgets and regular forecasts
• Oversee PO and recording processes to encourage adherence to group policies.
• Produce Balance sheet Reconciliations for 2 racecourses.
• Prepare year-end audit and tax packs
About you
• Qualified accountant with 2+ years PQE
• Confident in Business Partnering with Commercial and/or operational teams to deliver business objectives
• Able to discuss drivers of business performance and use KPIs
• Experienced in preparation of budgets and forecasts, producing accurate monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations and in using management information systems
• Collaborative, with ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders cross functionally
• Self-driven and confident of prioritising own workload to deliver results.
• Commercially savvy and analytical with a passion for problem solving.
