Facility Engineer

Support real-time simulations of missiles being fired by ensuring that the facilities and equipment are always available as a Facility Engineer for Hardware-in-the-Loop team at this weapons’ manufacturing organisation.

You will be responsible for supporting the simulations, by ensuring facility equipment is fit for purpose and readily available for hardware-in-the-loop team.
Your responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for both planned maintenance activities and less predictable corrective maintenance in response to unforeseen issues.
• You will be able to understand the facility system and equipment.

 
You will have:

• Broad engineering experience with deeper experience in some of the following skill areas:
  • Understanding of Hydraulic systems
  • Computer Aided Design experience (CREO an advantage)
  • Able to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Workshop skills (hand and electrical tools)
• Psychomotor skill and physically fit; capable of working at height
• IT literate and capable of using Management Information Systems (MIS)

• Salary: Up to £33,000 plus bonus and other benefits
• Location: Stevenage - 80% on-site working with world-class equipment

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to British Citizens.
