Our client is one of the largest Midlands fabricating businesses of aluminium and pvc products. They are looking for a strong individual with sound knowledge of fabrication and welding to come into the business as Factory Supervisor and drive continuous improvement. You must have previous experience in a manufacturing environment, as well as supervisory or management skills.This is a full-time on-site role located in West Bromwich for an Aluminium Factory Supervisor. The Factory Supervisor will oversee and coordinate production activities in the aluminium division ensuring that goods are produced timely, safely and efficiently. The Factory Supervisor will be responsible for a team of 18 employees.

Job Description:
My client is looking to bring on a Factory Supervisor to manage the day-to-day running of production, adhering to quality standards and motivating and supporting the team to achieve the required targets. The successful candidate will ensure the production plan is met on time and in full, support and liaise with management to ensure clear and concise communication and create and action the departmental plan in line with the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities of the Factory Supervisor:
" Reporting into the Management team, you will be required to create and action the departmental plan in line with the needs of the business.
" Ensure that production targets are met within agreed deadlines, making best use of resources and materials.
" Be responsible for the workflow by creating a work schedule, delegating tasks to team members, and ensuring they understand the tasks.
" Direct the team to ensure all items are manufactured to the required quality standard and are completed on time.
" Lead and motivate the team through providing guidance and being supportive.
" Monitor employee productivity, coach team members, and provide constructive feedback where needed and if improvement is required, driving continuous improvement.
" Train and support new employees to ensure they have the required skills and knowledge to fulfil their role.
" Be proactive on H&S and enforcing rules of the factory shop floor and highlight issues to the management team.
" Assist in ensuring the correct staffing levels, with the right people in the right places.
" Highlight any potential issues with the production plan (no materials etc).
" Raise any quality issues to management if they cannot be corrected yourself.
" Raise any maintenance issues to maintenance or management.
" Follow all Health and Safety rules and policies.
" Support and assist with any continuous improvement projects.
" Occasional site visits when required to understand and correct faulty products.
" Support with any projects, resolution of issues etc.
" Liaise with any other department to ensure business requirements are met.
" Actively participate in relevant meetings.
" Undertake any relevant training required.
" Demonstrate and encourage a one team thought process.
" Lead by example with attendance, timekeeping, and attitude a "we can do it".
" Complete any other reasonable additional duties as requested by management.
" Assist the management team with projects to improve business functions.
Requirements of the Factory Supervisor:
" Previous experience as a Factory Supervisor or similar role.
" Demonstrated proficiency in production and inventory management systems.
" Ability to identify and resolve production-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
" Demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
" Excellent communication and organisational skills.
" Experience in the manufacturing industry.
" An ideal candidate will have a track record for improving staff morale, increasing efficiency or for other measurable improvements in their team.
" Experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
" Experience in window fabrication or similar.
" Ability to manage and motivate a team.
" Good communication and interpersonal skills.
" Good organisational and time management skills.
" Good problem-solving skills.
" Good attention to detail.
" Good IT skills.
