Aluminium Factory Supervisor - Monday to Friday 8 am - 4.30 pm can also be 7am - 3.30pm .
MUST HAVE WINDOW FABRICATION - FRAME EXPERIENCE OR SIMILAR - IMMEDIATE START 3 MONTH TEMP TO PERM POSITION - WEEKLY PAY MOVING TO MONTHLY - PAID BREAKS.
Purpose:
To manage the day to day running of production, adhering to quality standards and motivating and supporting the team to achieve the required targets. To ensure the production plan is met on time and in full. To support and liaise with Management to ensure clear and concise communication.
Main Duties:
- Reporting into the Management team, you will be required to create and action the departmental plan in line with the needs of the business.
- Ensure that production targets are met within agreed deadlines, making best use of resources and materials.
- Being responsible for the workflow by creating a work schedule, delegating tasks to team members and ensuring they understand the tasks.
- Directing the team to ensure all items are manufactured to the required quality standard and are completed on time.
- Leading and motivating the team through providing guidance and being supportive.
- Demonstrate and encourage a one team thought process, and lead by example.
- Monitoring employee productivity, coaching team members and providing constructive feedback where needed and if improvement is required.
- Training and supporting new employees to ensure they have the required skills and knowledge to fulfil their role.
- Hands on supervisory role, manufacturing
- Be proactive on H&S and enforcing rules of the factory shopfloor. Highlighting issues to the management team.
- Assist in ensuring the correct staffing levels, with the right people in the right places.
- Liaise with management regarding any people issues.
- Highlight any potential issues with the production plan (no materials etc).
- Raise any quality issues to management if they cannot be corrected yourself.
- Raise any maintenance issues to maintenance or management.
- Follow all Health and Safety rules and policies.
- Support and assist with any continuous improvement projects.
- Occasional site visits when required to understand and correct faulty products.
- Support with any projects, resolution of issues etc.
- Liaise with any other department to ensure business requirements are met.
- Actively participate in relevant meetings.
- Undertake any relevant training required.
- Demonstrate and encourage a one team thought process.
- Lead by example with attendance, timekeeping and attitude a "we can do it".
- Complete any other reasonable additional duties as requested by management.
- Assist the management team with projects to improve business functions.
