The Corby Sixth Form, are currently recruiting for a Faculty Lead for Social SciencesFaculty Leads at The Corby Sixth Form, play a pivotal role in the success of our students through: ensuring that students make outstanding progress on the courses that they manage within their faculty area. ensuring staff have the support they need to ensure that all students make outstanding progress line management of staff within their faculty. Ideal candidates will have demonstrable experience of consistently providing a high-quality learning experience for all students. Experience of teaching A-Level to students in a Sixth Form environment, demonstrating high levels of student achievement, alongside the following qualifications: Recognised Teacher Qualification (PGCE, CertEd, QTS) Relevant subject area degree  Successful candidates must also be able to demonstrate alignment to our organisational VISION values: Valuing Teamwork - We are one team who by working together can achieve great things, respecting the opinion and valuing the contribution each of us makes. About The Corby Sixth Form The Corby Sixth Form offers a wide range of subjects and courses, including A-level subjects like maths, English Literature, sciences, humanities, and languages, as well as Diploma courses in areas like business, health & social care, and more. We offer students a sixth form experience that’s different to school and one that makes them stand out from the crowd. About The Bedford College Group The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year. Today, the Group is made up of a family of colleges across Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire: Bedford College, Central Bedfordshire College and Tresham College in the towns of Bedford, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough; Shuttleworth College, a specialist land-based college; The Bedford Sixth Form, (the only dedicated sixth form in Bedford); The Corby Sixth Form, (opened in September 2023); and the National College for Motorsport alongside Silverstone race circuit. To widen accessibility to education and training, the Group also has community-based Learning Centres in Bedford, Corby and Kettering which offer IT training. Terms and Conditions - Sixth Form Full time - 37 hours per week Directed attendance – Teachers working at The Corby Sixth Form usually have an attendance requirement of 39 weeks.
