Family Information Service Brokerage Officer

About the Team and Role:
Warwickshire Family Information Service (FIS) provides information advice and guidance on a wide range of subjects to families and professionals working with families in Warwickshire. The role of FIS differs across the country; in Warwickshire we work very closely with professionals both within and outside the council to ensure families receive the information and support they need at the earliest possible opportunity to prevent escalation of need. This includes ensuring digital information is accurate and up to date via webpages and social media, managing a confidential helpline service and providing face to face support for families in their own homes.
The brokerage role works on a one-to-one basis to offer practical support to families, removing barriers to enable them to access the support that is available to them. The successful candidate needs to be able work pro-actively and independently and have a wide knowledge of the services available to families.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
We are looking for professional people with a good knowledge of the information and support needs, and services that provide these needs for families living in Warwickshire. Due to the nature of the role you will need to be flexible and adaptable with the ability to think on your feet.
Whilst working as part of team, you will be expected to manage your own time and travel effectively across Warwickshire to deliver the service. Access to your own transport and business insurance is essential to this role.
