Family Liaison Officer

Grade: 3C Scp 28-31, £31926 - £34137 pa
Working Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday- Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (plus 5 inset days)

We are looking for a highly motivated, resilient and passionate Family Liaison Officer in delivering support to children and families across school.
You must also have a clear understanding of the importance of child protection and safeguarding and what this means in practice in a school environment. The successful candidate must have experience of dealing with/ leading on safeguarding matters, holding stakeholders to account. They will promote a culture of safety for all and lead on this day-to-day in school.
We need someone who can build relationships with all stake holders, particularly families, listen to their voice in a non-judgemental way, and support them with their emotional wellbeing, giving them strategies to help them overcome barriers to attendance, positive engagement etc. You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of emotional wellbeing to successful learners and be able to empathise with the children and families, treating them with respect and compassion whilst giving them strategies to be successful and make progress. You should have an understanding of and an interest in how to support children and develop their wellbeing, especially those impacted by ACEs in their lives, and sound knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies.
We need someone to champion and challenge our families to bring about the very best outcomes. They must lead on improvements for attendance.
