We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Family and Matrimonial Solicitor to join our expanding team.
Job Description:
As a Family and Matrimonial Solicitor you will play a crucial role in providing legal expertise and support to clients facing family and matrimonial issues. You will handle a diverse caseload, offering comprehensive advice and representation across various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, financial settlements, cohabitation agreements, and domestic violence cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation and Communication:
- Conduct initial consultations with clients to understand their legal needs and objectives.
- Maintain open and clear communication throughout the legal process, keeping clients informed of developments in their cases.
- Case Management:
- Manage a varied caseload of family and matrimonial matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to build strong cases and provide informed advice.
- Draft legal documents, including petitions, agreements, and court submissions.
- Negotiation and Mediation:
- Engage in negotiation and mediation processes to achieve amicable resolutions where possible.
- Represent clients in court when necessary, presenting cases persuasively and professionally.
- Legal Advocacy:
- Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings to advocate for clients.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in family law and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Client Advocacy:
- Demonstrate empathy and sensitivity when dealing with clients in emotionally charged situations.
- Provide clear and realistic advice to clients, managing expectations while working towards favorable outcomes.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor with a number years of post-qualification experience in family and matrimonial law.
- Strong knowledge of UK family law statutes, case law, and legal precedents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to handle a diverse caseload with efficiency and attention to detail.
- Experience in negotiation, mediation, and court advocacy.
- Commitment to client confidentiality and ethical legal practice.
