Family Support Worker
The Service & Team:

If this is you, we have the following vacancies for Family Worker positions in both the Penzance and Camborne Family Assessment teams.

The Role:
Family Workers work as part of multi-disciplinary team where children, young people and their families need co-ordinated support at times of increased need and difficulty. We take a relational and strengths-based approach

Family Workers carry out assessments with children and families (-9 months to 18 years ) devise plans of intervention, and undertake direct work .To do this you will be trained to utilise a range of evidence-based approaches including Signs of Safety & Motivational Interviewing, Family Workers also deliver accredited Parenting Programmes. There is a good training programme and excellent career progression.
This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
What you'll need to succeed:
You will need to have a Level 3 qualification or above Child in a child related field, eg Child development, a proven track record of working with children and young people along with a robust understanding of the issues faced by families.
