Working Instructions:
Hours: Part time, temporary
Location: Solihull, Hybrid
Pay Rate: £15.70 per hour
The ideal candidate will provide a support service under the direction of the Assistant Team Manager involved in investigation, assessments and intervention with vulnerable children and their families.
Essential Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS – Childrens – on the update service
- Access to a vehicle and business insurance
- Ability to work unsociable hours, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Role and Responsibilities of the Licensing Officer:
- Will be responsible for undertaking Early Help Assessments and developing effective support plans
- Will lead and chair Early Help Team Around The Family meetings to ensure effective and timely interventions.
- To support qualified social workers in completion of statutory assessments
- To support children, young people and parents by providing practical advice and assistance
- Undertake direct work with children, young people, and parents on a 1-1 and group basis promoting the welfare of children in need
- To complete independent written observations and reports of any direct work undertaken
- Contribute to the development of written child in need plans and act as Lead Professional on behalf of Children’s Social Work
- Facilitate and supervise contacts between children subject of care
- Participate, and contribute to, the duty function of the team as appropriate ensuing any issue concerning actual or likelihood of significant harm is brought to the attention of a qualified social worker or manager without delay.
- Contribute to/and write statements for court and act as a witness at court proceedings where necessary.
- To contribute to the learning of social work students.
- Any other duties as may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post or to assist the Directorate in the fulfilment of its objectives, commensurate with the post holders grade, abilities and aptitude
