- Hilditch & Key Ltd is looking to hire a UAL student, who is passionate about quintessential British menswear brands. To celebrate our historic 125th anniversary, we have started working on a special project to revisit the brand’s heritage and long history, which associate with menswear fashion in 80s and 90s.This placement will help the student to gain insights into historical studies of British menswear.
- This placement will offer the student a rare opportunity to study and research a small family-run brand that could be used as a case study for the assignments in the final year.
- This placement will help the student with building networking connections.
- This placement will provide the student a opportunity to enhance technical skills and cultivate essential soft skills such as time management, problem-solving, and effective communication.
- Through practical experience, placement students will understand their interests and strengths within the fashion industry, which would help students pinpoint their areas of specialisation, aiding them in making informed decisions about their future careers.
- Conduct research about brand’s history and heritage
- Produce weekly reporting
- Answer and support historical enquiries required by the business and external parties
- Host research appointments with the function’s business users
- Collaborate on any large-scale projects within the organisation which require heritage support
- Support any cataloguing processes
- Handle heritage material sensitively and wrap in appropriate protective material
- Undertake audits of archive assets
- Communicate efficiently with appropriate tone in all written and verbal communications
- Attend all team briefings, meetings and weekly catch-ups
- To support any related archive requirements
- To carry out any additional duties as directed by the Brand Curator, Archive & Historical Knowledge
