Finance Systems & Payments are a core part of the YBS Finance function and this is a great opportunity to help shape the future development of our Payments landscape. You will be working alongside our established business SMEs and partnering with our IT solution and development teams. In addition there is a growing community of Product Owners across other YBS functions which you will be a part of.
As Faster Payments Product Owner, you will be involved with shaping an excellent real time faster payment experience for our customers and colleagues, ensuring consideration for regulatory requirements, commercial results and best practice within the Banking industry, in order to appropriately prioritise required change. Its an exciting time to join the Finance function in this new and developing role as we are embarking on a major payments transformation which will support the delivery of our strategic priorities and underpin all payments change going forward. This is a hybrid role; with some onsite presence in our central Leeds and Bradford offices. You will need to be able to commute to both offices as required.
About the role
- Support with the provision of centralised prioritisation of all Faster Payment change activity, providing clarity of the change roadmap to stakeholders. This will include requirements gathering, management of a product backlog, supporting changes through to live and keeping stakeholders updated on progress and issues.
- Own the Faster Payments roadmap and manage prioritisation of requirements and available resources
- Support with the development of a strategic approach to sequencing of change activity, prioritising for maximum benefit against available and potential resource
- Work with key stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Digital, IT and Transformation to ascertain value and feasibility of change to optimise delivery whilst meeting strategic priorities
- Collaborate with change functions to ensure workstream plans are viable, efficient and aligned with the wider YBS change agenda.
- Contribute to the planning, execution, review and test of development cycles and/or individual deliverables
About you
Youll have a proven track record in a Faster Payment Product Owner role or looking to take that next step to becoming one.
- Your experience will be with Faster Payment processes from a financial services industry, markets & competitors background
- Your Product Owner expertise will be coupled with experience of agile methodologies and frameworks, as well as knowledge of payment processes change implementation (having captured requirements in Jira), planning and analysis
- Youll be committed to creating great customer and colleague experience and have proven experience of delivering this previously, prioritising for maximum benefit
- Away from the technical experience, youll be someone who builds strong relationships with key partners, be able to lead and motivate small teams to deliver sustained high performance, and have excellent communication, engagement and influencing skills
