If you feel that you have the potential to help us evolve and lead a first-class administrative/business system, working with an established and highly skilled group of senior business assistants, then we would love to meet you!
At The Village Federation our four schools are places where creativity and innovation are welcomed and we are very keen to meet practitioners who have the skills and knowledge to help lead the business aspects of our organisation, allowing other staff to focus solely on the provision for the children at our schools. Whilst the role is advertised as full-time, we would be willing to consider candidates who may want less hours or a more flexible working pattern.
This role is still relatively new and we want to see it continue to evolve after the current post-holder’s retirement. The role involves leading a team of part time Senior Business Assistants based across the four schools. We are looking for a skilled professional who can enhance our provision by refining systems, improving efficiency and supporting the Executive Headteacher with all business matters across the federation. The successful candidate will need to have strong IT skills, be able to project-manage new initiatives and also have excellent problem-solving skills. We will also be seeking a candidate with a focus on the wellbeing of our team and how that can be supported by senior leaders.
We offer first class CPD and support with career progression in our flexible, happy and dedicated team. We are also very proud that three of our schools are Church of England Schools and it is important that all applicants feel able to support that tradition and the ethos of a Church School.
The successful candidate will be invited to start no later than 3 June 2024 and earlier if possible to allow some transition with the current post-holder.
Prior experience of work within schools may be beneficial, but is not essential and we would be very interested to meet applicants from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
