Female Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker required to assist a woman with a Physical Disability living in the Airdrie area.
You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home and in the community including participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks
- Walking and general exercise, assisting with participation in these physical activities.
- General Housework
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.
- Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
- Awareness of the need to be vigilant of illness and medical needs.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Pets in the household – you must be comfortable working with dogs.
The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.
Care experience is required. First Aid training is highly desirable. Training can be given.
Driver essential and you will be required to use your own vehicle – mileage allowance will be paid OR as you will be required to drive a mobility vehicle.
Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)
Recruiting for one position.
Guaranteed permanent position of 12 hours per week.
Days and times:
Set shifts at set times OR weekly rota.
Typically - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.30am – 11.30am and 3.30pm – 4.30pm
Occasional weekends and evenings may be required – to be discussed at interview.
Hourly rate:
£15.00 per hour
