Job Description:
Our client is looking for an experience Support Worker to support service users at a residential service.
- Providing a hands-on assistance with daily care including personal care, moving and handling, ensuring meals are given on a timely manner
- Offering emotional support and companionship to the service users who suffer with Dementia
- Implementing care plans tailored to the service user's needs and preferences
- Documenting the service users progress and reporting any changes or concerns to the management team
- To be compassionate, empathetic and respectful to the service user within their environment
-To have patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Must have previous experience in care giving or in similar roles working with service users with Dementia
- Must have Medication, Manual handling and Dementia training and certification dated within the month's
-Must have previous experience in supporting people with mental health, dementia, physical disability, respite care, sensory impairment, and substance misuse.
- Must have an enhanced DBS
