Job Title -Female Support Care Worker

Job Location - Within the Employers own home

Rate of Pay/Hours - £15.50 hour./14 hours per week must be flexible as some shifts may change or may over run depending on what I am doing.

Responsible to - The Employer

Job Purpose - To provide 1-1 support to enable the Employer to live independently and safely

Main Duties and Responsibilities - Duties and tasks may change over time but will be agreed by mutual consent

To support The Employer to keep upright and safe in her chair

Assist The Employer from the floor and or bed safely to wheelchair

Assist The Employer with all transfers bed to chair/chair to bed & chair to toilet/ toilet to chair
Assist The Employer to keep up right in wheelchair and on the toilet

Assist and support The Employer to reposition herself on wheelchair and bed

Assist The Employer with personal care including but not exclusively showering/drying/dressing

Assist The Employer with anything else required to ensure they are safe and comfortable and that they have everything they need

To prepare and assist with food and drinks as and when required

To assist with housework including but not exclusively
 Ironing
 Hoovering
 Dusting especially high up (ceilings/light fixings/curtain poles)
 Cleaning fridge freezer inside or out
 Cleaning cupboards inside or out
 Mop and dry floors
 Washing
 Etc

Ensuring before you leave you -
 Empty bins and recycling and take out
 Wash and dry up
 Wipe kitchen surfaces
 Clean microwave inside and out
 Ensure everywhere is clean and tidy

To assist/support out and about including but not exclusively

 Shopping trips

 Cinema/theatre trips

 Walks

 Meeting friends/family both at home and in the community
 Appointments etc

Special Instructions -

As the Employers health fluctuates additional tasks may be required
You will ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
To undertake further training if and when required
To respect the property and equipment of the Employers home and obtain permission before using or handling possessions and equipment
To follow health and safety and risk assessment guidelines as stipulated by The Employer
To understand and work with The Employer to ensure a good working partnership and an open communication is developed by both the Employee and Employer

Any confirmation of employment is subject to a full enhanced DBS check.
