Event Catering Assistants - We welcome candidates with background in hospitality catering/chefs/drivers/maintenance/waiting/FOH skills

The Food Hub (WSM) Ltd is an award winning event catering company based in Weston Super Mare. We run a number of food units offering different cuisines & attend a mixture of events from one day Street food markets to large scale festivals such as Glastonbury. We have a busy season & are looking for Catering Assistants to join our team. This is a full time position, when you are not at events (And have caught up on your sleep!) you will be at our unit helping with cleaning & maintenance of trucks and equipment or you may also be tasked into our Central Production Kitchen to assist with food preparation. For this reason we are looking for staff from North Somerset only at the moment.

The job involves very very very long hours on your feet! But you must keep smiling with great customer service. You will be money handling, preparing & serving food, washing up & cleaning down the units. Experience of catering would be beneficial but full training will be given. The job involves travelling around the UK, building stalls, working weekends and nights away (camping onsite at festivals) you need to be an outdoor sort of person. Ideally looking for candidates with their own transport or driving licence prefered as can be insure on company vans. Previous catering experience is greatly welcome.

Job responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve food and beverages at various events and venues
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Set up and break down catering stations
- Assist with food preparation
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of catering equipment and work area

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in catering or food service industry is preferred
- Driving experience and basic maintenance skills welcome
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay dependent on age & experience.

Pay: £150.00-£200.00 per day

Expected hours: 39 – 50 per week
