About the role

Amnesty International UK is looking for an experienced producer for our new flagship festival of human rights. In this role you will lead operations effectively and be responsible for managing the logistics of sessions and speakers across the event programme The role is key to the smooth running of the event and will lead on comprehensive production planning for the festival

The Festival of Human Rights (21-23 June 2024) is a new event in the Amnesty International UK calendar, bringing together Amnesty activists and those interested in human rights from across the UK for an inspiring weekend of workshops, meetings, talks, installations and performances. The festival will be a weekend of celebration: celebrating the successes of people powered movements and empowering attendees to continue the fight for human rights in the future.

The event will take place across multiple venues in Sheffield City Centre for an audience made up of AIUK activists and general public. The event will also be livestreamed.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK but will involve travel to the project sites in Sheffield.

The role may be for you if:

  • You have experience of working on festivals and/or events in a production role
  • You are highly organised and able to work across multiple projects and conflicting deadlines
  • You collaborate and positively contribute to an inclusive culture.
  • You also have a good knowledge of relevant policies including safeguarding, health and safety, data protection, risk management.
  • You have an interest in the wider cultural and human rights sectors

 

The successful candidate must be available to start as soon as possible in early April.
