Field Application Engineer - Testing
Your role will involve:
This is a customer facing role for a customer motivated Engineer who’s tasks will include the following:
- Work closely with existing and potential customers to analyse their technical requirements and develop opportunities from these.
- Being able to formulate the complete test strategy and develop the test case.
- Be proficient in discussing and understanding customer’s detailed technical requirements.
- Co-ordinate the configuration of turn-key HIL test benches according to customers’ requirements.
- Facilitate the usage of our products by carrying out engineering services.
- Deliver training, workshops and technical presentations that promote the features and benefits of our product range.
- Co-ordinate the preparation of detailed proposals with our development engineers to ensure the customer has the correct solution.
- Providing Technical customer support by telephone, email and on-site
Your skills and experience will include:
Essential:
- Engineering degree or technical discipline (Automotive, Electrical or Electronics qualification would be ideal)
- Willingness to travel within the UK, Ireland and occasionally within Europe
- Working knowledge of programming language C#
- Understanding of CANoe, VT system, C, and electrical interfaces
- Familiar with In-vehicle communication networks such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet
- Working knowledge of creating test cases for test automation
- Experience of working in the Automotive Industry within the Electrical Engineering department
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and passionate about a career in a technical/commercial environment
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a large customer base
- Full-UK Driving licence
Desirable:
- General understanding of embedded control systems
- Experience with automotive actuators, sensors and data buses
- Understanding or working knowledge MATLAB®, Simulink®
