FIELD SALES ENGINEER – NORTHERN UK – POWER INDUSTRY

WB Employment are looking to recruit a Field Sales Engineer covering all northern English counties from West Midlands and above including North Wales and Scotland for their client based in Worcestershire. This role would be suitable for an experienced Engineer who is looking to move into a commercial role. Excellent opportunities for progression for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Making sure sales targets are met within the designated sales territory.
- Develop a close relationship with all key accounts, to grow business organically, and identify new opportunities.
- Understand product capabilities, customer requirements, markets, opportunities, trends and competitors' activity.
Duties:
- Identify and develop business with new customers, plus opportunities within existing customers, to constantly expand the business.
- Monitor sales data and keep up to date with current market trends and customer needs.
- Use consultative technical sales skills with good understanding of product features and benefits.
- Monitor sales and future business opportunities for each account.
- Identify and create a strong loyal relationship with all customer decision makers.
- Ensure key accounts are retained and developed.
- Follow through the strategy dictated by Area Project Reviews, whilst maintaining agreed timelines.
- Be aware of all competitor activities and associated opportunities/threats within the territory.
- Maintain good and disciplined use of CRM and administration tools.
- Produce presentations for internal sales meetings giving examples of business opportunities, threats and success.
- Utilise product management resources and establish working relationship with suppliers where appropriate.
- Attend Head Office minimum 1 day per month based in Worcestershire
Experience
- Self-motivating, with ability to work alone from home, whilst retaining ‘team’ ethos.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Previous technical sales experience is desirable.
- Demonstrable and successful sales in a relevant field preferable.
- Technical background or understanding, of electro-mechanical components is essential.
- Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering qualification is preferable.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office package is essential.
- Full UK driving licence is essential, car allowance provided in lieu of company car.
