Field Service Engineer - Instrumentation and Controls

Must Haves
- Turbine Experience
- Technical knowledge and experience of gas turbine operation particularly fuel systems gas generators and power turbine assemblies
- Specific knowledge of gas turbine units manufactured by GEC Gas Turbines along with knowledge of Rolls Royce Avon and Olympus or RB211 gas generators would be beneficial but not essential
- A minimum of an ONC or equivalent in ElectricalElectronic Engineering please note relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a formal qualification
- Experience of operating independently on site and in an office environment Offshore Safety Survival Certificate desirable Health and Safety training and experience
- Full and valid driving license
- First hand commercial industry experience combined with a technical Knowledge of Gas Turbine products and aftermarket services
- Pragmatic and organised you will be able to prioritise multiple tasks within highly dynamic and safety critical environments
- Capability of troubleshooting and fault-finding operational issues on a gas turbine package and their control systems
- Able to build and maintain good customer relations Self-motivated with the ability to work calmly and confidently under pressure
- Project management awareness
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar
For this role you will be working 37.5 hours a week - 10 hours a day. As this role is a Field Service role the travel will be based on a global scale and will have to comfortbale travelling overseas. You will be an organised and customer focused Field Service Engineer working extensively on site, either alone or as part of a team carrying out controls/instrumentation service and maintenance work for our customers. Whilst adhering to all Health and Safety requirements, your role will be to provide controls/instrumentation engineering expertise in the servicing and maintenance of gas turbine packages, working in the UK or international sites on both onshore and offshore installations. You are expected to be flexible to work on site for significant periods of time, as part of the service & maintenance of gas turbine packages and the installation of upgrades.You will provide engineering expertise in mechanical maintenance primarily working on site installations both in the UK and worldwide, in on-shore and off-shore locations.You are expected to be flexible to work on site for significant periods of time, as part of the installation of upgrades and the maintenance of gas turbine packages.
