Field Service Engineer - Fire And Security

Our Client is a leading provider of Fire & Security systems in Bolton and surrounding areas, focuses primarily on serving the Education and Manufacturing sectors. As we aim to expand our team, we are seeking a proficient engineer with a strong skill set and experience to join us in delivering exceptional services.

Job Role: As a Multi-Role Fire & Security Engineer, you will predominantly be involved in high-standard system installations, with occasional maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate should take pride in their work, possess extensive knowledge and experience in Fire & Security systems, and be capable of working independently or within a small team.

Responsibilities:

• Install Fire & Security systems to a high standard
• Diagnose and correct faults on all systems
• Conduct checks and maintenance of systems
• Handover/training of equipment to customers
• Follow instructions from Lead Engineers or Senior Managers
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards with due diligence
• Participate in on-call duties on a rota basis, with remote system access for off-site troubleshooting
• Business hours: 8-5, Monday to Friday, with available overtime
• Provide out-of-hours support as part of the on-call rota

Remuneration:

• Salary: 30,000 - 38,000 (dependent on experience)
• Company vehicle provided

Tools:

• Must have own tools; the company provides a Laptop, phone, and test equipment

Requirements:

• Good understanding of TCP/IP networks
• Proficient in wiring systems and circuits
• Familiarity with industry practices (e.g., BAFE, NSI, SSAIB)
• Demonstrated high-standard installation work
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to understand and interpret drawings
• Adaptability and a willingness to improve skills
• Full UK Driving License

Desirable:

• Understanding of Automated gates & barriers
• IPAF certification

Security Screening:

• BS7858 security screening, including a 5-year employment check, is a condition of employment
• Enhanced DBS check is required and must be applied for before the start date
