Job Purpose
We have a great opportunity for a Field Services Technical Lead to join our team. You will be responsible for the line management and technical support of the Customer Account Officers providing excellent leadership and technical understanding for meter reading, simple meter exchanges and water efficiency related activities.
To act as the champion for all technical related queries for the meter reading field operation. Creating a highly motivated team, who take pride in delivering excellent customer service and to ensure all job requirements are metJob Accountabilities
- Responsible for the leadership and management of a team of Customer Account Officers
- To develop strong technical capability for meter reading, simple meter exchanges and water efficiency related activities
- Responsible for all technical aspects of Meter Reading, Water Efficiency and Meter Maintenance (limited to external ‘screw out / screw in' exchanges & simple internal replacements < 20mm), activities and associated equipment
- Proactively involved with the planning, practical technical input, training and supervision of the Customer Account Officers
- Responsible for analysing and interpreting operational performance information and proactively identifying and implementing corrective actions within Health and Safety requirements and escalating performance risks to the Field Operations Manager
- Responsible for development of required training documentation
- Assist in escalated customer complaints that require a field face to face visit
Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding and practical experience of plumbing systems, water metering installation / exchange, customer supply systems and meter reading
- Line management experience
- Problem solving – focussing on outcome for customer/client
- Excellent oral communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Accurate numerical and written data capture and processing skills
- Previous experience of working in a customer facing field based environment is essential
- A proven successful track record of achieving team daily monthly performance targets
- Previous experience of high volume data capture and data entry work in a customer facing field environment
- Good knowledge and understanding of UU regulatory framework and legal obligations, organisational structure, processes and policies
- Valid Driving Licence suitable for use in the UK.
