The role:
Performance reporting
- Month end
- Review income/operating statements with Operations before close.
- Work to tight deadlines at month end. (1.5 day month end close period).
- Utilise JD Edwards/SAP, Qlikview Financial Suite and other ERP to gather and analyse data as well as report results, using presentation skills.
- Review and analyse the balance sheet using agreed methods.
- Annual audit (requirements will be notified each time)
- Mid-Year MCS controls audit
- Group audit
- Local stat audit.
Financial planning and analytics
- Develop a working knowledge of the AI UK businesses and their priorities.
- Interaction with the Finance Directors and Financial Controllers and Operational Management as part of the Divisional Accounting business decision/commercial support activities.
- Provide and manage accounting analysis
- Ensure the reporting to Stakeholders is inline with business and SSC expectations
- Offer business financial analytical support to also gain knowledge and understanding of the business and projects on an operational level.
- Work with divisions to provide analytical business decision support, (market, product, customer and commercial).
- Support the financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes. Execute key components of the planning process according to defined timelines.
- Support MCS sign off for controls sat with the Finance Operation Manager and Finance Directors and Financial Controllers, including but not limited to, conducting MCS Fixed Asset audits, attending Stock takes and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Develop a detailed understanding of managerial accounting rules (HARP).
- Have an appreciation and support the Capex process and on-going project
- Process improvement
- Engage with the Finance Process Improvement Manager.
- Work to agreed levels of service and provide input on how to improve
- Liaise with other teams within Finance to ensure best practice and standardisation are being applied and contribute to the continuous improvement process and best practice.
